John will combine Sept '07 and Oct '08 data. Currently combing through AUV, DA, and HAB data. Chris P. says all physical data for these deployments is in SigmaPlot and she can show Roman how to access.
After Betty is up and running, and Bruce Keafer is gone, Roman can hit this full-time.

Currently picking data out of notebooks, mainly the NEO m0 deployment of May '09 (Nov '08 pulled reagent from wrong valve; data suspect)
Next week: skeleton outline/figure ideas/holes to fill/which journal.
Chris sent out her summary of the water quality monitoring work in a Jan 17, 2010 email.

Lab Issues

Chris reading PICARD manual (new PCR machine). waiting for a loaner PC from Zorba who is on vacation.
Bruce K. arrives Monday
- Roman will show him how to run ESP--will use Bruce/Mack
- Shannon Johnson will also shadow
- Roman needs Cheri to clear Bruce for operation (done 2-4-2010)

Bruce has had software rolled back to Oct '08 and will rerun the DA assays; should be finished by Tuesday
Cheri to look into a light-proof curtain wrap around Bruce so we don't miss pictures. Maybe check with Haddock lab on how to do this.
Next week Girguis sending two grad students and Victoria Orphan sending 1 tech to learn how to run MFB.

Looks like PCR reagents are fine when running standards. 1 m/m line had bubble; IPC primer was also pulling funny. Chris found inhibition from normal samples, though.
